Keeping the family healthy through the winter months with healthy food choices Saturday, December 1st, 2008 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Full Circle Family Care, LLC1241 Mamaroneck Avenue, White Plains, NY 10605Daryl Moss will lead our discussion this month: she is the president and founder of Mission to Wellness, LLC, a company dedicated to helping her clients on the path to a healthier, happier, less-stressed life. She is a Certified Holistic Health Counselor, and received her training at the Institute for Integrated Nutrition in New York City. Daryl works one on one with most of her clients, teaches cooking programs, gives lectures, and actively volunteers in the community. Last year, she taught a nutrition program at the Don Bosco after school center in Port Chester, and ran two sessions at their summer camp in July. In addition, Daryl gave a presentation to the Early Childhood Program staff at Congregation Kol Ami, and did three nutrition workshops for seventh and eighth graders at Congregation Kol Ami’s Religious School. Daryl was also a guest speaker at Edgemont High School’s Alternative School. Daryl’s food focus is on making healthy choices, and she helps her clients find delicious alternatives that they and their families will enjoy. She is a big promoter of eating local, organic produce, and also strongly emphasizes eating whole grains and unprocessed foods. Daryl is the Site Coordinator of Tuv Ha’aretz, the Community Supported Agriculture Program of the five synagogues in White Plains. She is a board member of the Soundview Association, and serves as a Membership Committee Co-Chair at Congregation Kol Ami. Daryl also volunteers for the PTA’s at the schools her four children attend.
