BIRTH HYPNOSIS


Birth Hypnosis is a series of 4 classes, taught by Julietta Appleton, which will teach you how to use self-hypnosis to tap into the cellular wisdom of your body, relax profoundly, release pain and enjoy your baby's birth. Through experiential sessions, you will learn:


• How hypnosis works
• Self-hypnosis
• To find your "safe place"
• TRUE relaxation
• Fear and worry release
• Grounding
• To communicate with your baby
• Affirmations for childbirth
• How to numb pain through "glove anesthesia"
• Guided imagery for the best birth you can imagine

Julietta Appleton is a certified hypnotist, labor doula, childbirth educator and freelance writer with a Masters degree in health administration and nearly thirty years of experience in the field of women’s health. Julietta is one of the founding members of Westchester-Putnam Childbirth Education Association (now called Hudson Valley Birth Network) and is the founder and former director of Westchester County’s first freestanding birth center — The Birth Cottage. She also helped establish and operate two postpartum doula services in Westchester, the MOM Service and Beyond Birth. She has a private hypnosis practice in Mount Kisco, NY.
